Sure the cats get hot. We all do, but there is plenty of water around for them to drink, and plenty of shade as well. Gypsy tends to lay in the garden, like here by the compost in the vegetable garden.
Or you can find her in funny places like under a wheel barrow. It may be hot for them with this heat we are having, but they survive. I never see smoke until 5am everyday so goodness knows where he hangs out all day.
