Summer Days of Autumn

Today, October 2nd, the sun was warm, maybe 20c. The forecast is for clouds tomorrow and the trend is for a change in weather paterns. There was only one possible thing to do this afternoon, and it wasn't gardening. It was to toast the season goodbye.. just in case its the end. So off to our special and lovely private beach at the bottom of the road. My friend Robyn and I went down for one last commune with the sea and the sun. The water was 15c so a swim would have been possible but neither of us had out togs or towels. I enjoyed a pear cider and got a bit of a burn on my cheeks. Oh for an endless summer!!
